an individual style of speaking 獨(dú)特的談話風(fēng)格

accomplish/complete/finish的區(qū)別
accomplish后面最常用的名詞是task(任務(wù)),aim(目的),jounery(旅程),voyage(海程)
The explorers accomplished the voyage in three weeks.
The building will be completed by the end of this month.
He has finished speaking.
I have finished the book我已經(jīng)讀完這本書了。
I have completed the book我已經(jīng)寫完這本書了。
Now that people are no longer superstitious,fortune-telling as a profession is finished.
13.The group may be temporary or stay together for a long period of time.

It is uncertain that there's a cure for this illness at present.
相同點(diǎn)兩者都能用于“be sure/certain + about /of短語”句型中,表示“對(duì)(某事)有把握”。 I am sure/certain of his returning.
He is quite sure/certain of /about it. 兩者都能用于be sure/certain to do sth句型中,表示“一定會(huì)做某事”,主語可以是人,也可以是物。 Spring is sure/certain to follow winter.

Tom is sure/certain that I put the key on the table.
We are sure/certain that the book will be of great help to us. You must make sure/certain when the bus will leave. He made sure/certain that he had turned off the gas.
“I ' m sure…”與“I ' m certain…” I'm sure he didn't steal it. He isn’t that kind of person.
I'm certain he didn't break the cup.I broke it myself.
It isn ' t certain whether he will give us a report next Monday.
The letter was sent by a sure hand.
He made a sure answer.
A certain person called on me yesterday.
Be sure and remember what I told you.
Be sure to write and tell me all the good news.
-Would you please turn down the radio a little bit?
-Sure. -Do you still remember our first fishing trip?
-I sure do.
sure certain
