Ⅱ課堂教學設計
1.檢查生詞及短語(在教學中,可考慮將Lesson10和Lesson11合并在一起進行)。
2教師給出讀前提問:1)Go over the passage quickly and find out some American English words and expressions. 2) Which differences are greater, the differences in the spoken language or the differences in the written language?
教師給學生數(shù)分鐘,要求學生快速閱讀課文(默讀)。之后請同學回答上述問題。

3.放課文錄音,學生跟讀一至兩遍。教師就課文內容提問(可參閱書后練習冊中所列問題),檢查學生的理解程度.
4.教師用投影儀打出以下statements,要求學生判斷其正誤。并對錯誤的statements進行修改。

2) Spoken English is more or less the same in both Britain and America.
3) Sometimes people from these two countries have a lot of difficulty in understanding each other.

學生先在小組內交流并相互啟發(fā)、補充,然后教師組織學生用自己的語言描述英國英語和美國英語的區(qū)別。要求學生盡量連貫地講述。
6.布置作業(yè)1)復述課文;2)完成練習冊中所安排的練習。
注:如果條件允許,教師也可事先將以上表格印好,在課上發(fā)給學生,這樣效果更好。
