        一、教學(xué)目標(biāo)與要求

        通過本單元教學(xué),使學(xué)生掌握以下詞匯的用法:though, hardly, neither和both。能獨(dú)立完成練習(xí)冊(cè)有關(guān)這些詞匯的各種練習(xí),正確率不低于70%。通過對(duì)第94課課文的學(xué)習(xí),使學(xué)生了解有關(guān)艾爾斯山的一些概況,并用自己組織的語言,對(duì)艾爾斯山進(jìn)行簡(jiǎn)單的描述。教師可要求學(xué)生運(yùn)用正確的書信格式,以Wei Hua的名義給Bob White寫一封回信;還可要求學(xué)生模仿第96課的示例,給自己的筆友寫信,在信中簡(jiǎn)單介紹自己的一些情況如姓名、年齡、居住地點(diǎn)、所在學(xué)校、業(yè)余愛好等。

        本單元兼有總復(fù)習(xí)作用。通過復(fù)習(xí),使學(xué)生鞏固19~23單元所學(xué)的句型、語法項(xiàng)目和日常交際用語。通過一定的口、筆頭練習(xí),使學(xué)生提高運(yùn)用這些語言材料的能力。特別要注意學(xué)生書面能力的訓(xùn)練。為著手進(jìn)行初三全面總復(fù)習(xí)打好基礎(chǔ)。

        二、教學(xué)重點(diǎn)與難點(diǎn)

        1.詞匯學(xué)習(xí)(Word Study):1)THOUGH Though I like speaking English, I don't like writing it much.

        2)HARDLY There is hardly any milk left.There are hardly any glasses left.

        3)NEITHER and BOTH Neither of us has much time. We both have too much work to do.

        2.日常交際用語:[表示讓步(Concession)]Though Australia is very large, the population is quite small.

        三、課時(shí)安排

        本單元共用4課時(shí),每課書用1課時(shí)。

        第九十三課 Lesson Ninety-three

        一、教學(xué)內(nèi)容

        1.詞匯(略)。

        2.句型:復(fù)習(xí)以下句型:1)Neither of us has much time. 2) Both John and Ann have got penfriends. 3)Though I like writing to my friend, it takes a lot of time.

        二、教具

        錄音機(jī)。

        三、課堂教學(xué)設(shè)計(jì)

        1.復(fù)習(xí) 值日生報(bào)告。

        教師繼續(xù)檢查上一單元的課文復(fù)述。

        2.聽課文第1部分錄音,教師布置聽前提問(Pre-listening question):Do they write to each other very often? Why?

        聽錄音一至兩遍。學(xué)生回答問題。再聽錄音,學(xué)生練習(xí)朗讀。

        3.學(xué)生自己閱讀課文第2部分內(nèi)容,教師講解both, either, neither等詞的用法(見難點(diǎn)講解)。

        4.學(xué)生跟著錄音練習(xí)課文第3部分并列句。請(qǐng)同學(xué)模仿這部分語句造句,然后在全班朗讀所造的句子。教師加以講評(píng)。

        5.介紹連詞though的用法,要求學(xué)生按課本要求,模仿示范進(jìn)行造句練習(xí)。教師予以訂正。

        6.布置作業(yè)

        書面完成練習(xí)冊(cè)習(xí)題。

        四、難點(diǎn)講解

        1.Neither of us has much time.我們倆個(gè)人都沒有什么時(shí)間。

        neither表示“兩者都不”,可作形容詞或代詞。例如:

        Neither answer is correct. 兩個(gè)答案都不對(duì)。(neither是形容詞)

        Neither of the answers is correct.(或Neither of the answers are correct.)意思同上,neither是代詞。短語neither…nor…表示“既不……,也不……”。例如:

        It is neither blue nor green.它既不是藍(lán)色也不是綠色。

        Neither my father nor I were there.(或 Neither my father nor I was there.)我和我父親都不在那里。

        neither表示對(duì)兩者的否定;both表示對(duì)兩者的肯定,使用時(shí)應(yīng)注意區(qū)別。例如:

        Neither of them has ever been to the Great Wall.他們倆個(gè)人都沒有去過長城。(表示否定)

        Both of them have been to the Great Wall.他們倆個(gè)人都去過長城。(表示肯定)

        2.I like listening to the radio, but I can't spend much time on it.我喜歡聽收音機(jī),但是我不能在這方面花去太多的時(shí)間。

        動(dòng)詞spend是“花費(fèi)”的意思,可以構(gòu)成以下句型:

        spend(time or money) on sth. (或in)doing sth. 例如:

        Many students spend too much time(in) doing their homework. 很多學(xué)生用太多的時(shí)間來做作業(yè)。

        He spent two hours talking before starting his work. 他工作之前用了兩個(gè)小時(shí)聊天。

        She spends a lot of money on books. 她買書花了很多錢。

        T:Now please look at this picture. It's beautiful, isn't it? It is called AYERS ROCK and it's in Australia. Ayers Rock is not high, it's LOW. AT THE FOOT OF the rock, you can see some green GRASS. But now we can HARDLY see any grass because the picture is too small. Look at the sand, it's almost red. And sometimes the SKY is red, too.         領(lǐng)讀生詞,學(xué)生反復(fù)練習(xí),直到初步掌握為止。

        3.給學(xué)生8分鐘左右時(shí)間默讀課文(本課計(jì)約351個(gè)詞)。教師用投影儀打出讀前提問(Pre-reading questions):1)How did Bob White and his father go to Ayers Rock? 2) How long did they stay there? Did they enjoy their stay there?

        規(guī)定時(shí)限過后,學(xué)生回答上述問題。

        4.聽課文錄音,學(xué)生跟讀一至兩遍。

        5.指導(dǎo)學(xué)生復(fù)習(xí)書信格式。

        6.做練習(xí)冊(cè)習(xí)題1,方法同前。

        7.教師扼要解釋課文難句(見難點(diǎn)講解)。

        8.布置作業(yè)

        1)練習(xí)朗讀本課課文,抄寫生詞;2)準(zhǔn)備復(fù)述課文;3)書面完成練習(xí)冊(cè)習(xí)題。

        四、難點(diǎn)講解

        1.But after we left the mountains behind us, there was hardly a cloud in the sky.當(dāng)我們把群山甩在身后面,天空幾乎萬里無云。

        hardly是副詞,意思是:幾乎不。在句中表示否定意義。

        hardly可以和any/anything/anybody等詞連用。例如:

        We've got hardly any food.我們幾乎沒有食物了。

        hardly還可和情態(tài)動(dòng)詞can, could等連用。例如:

        She could hardly walk.她幾乎走不動(dòng)了。

        2.Though we only stayed there for a few days, we had a great time.雖然我們?cè)谀抢镏欢毫袅藥滋,我們過得很愉快。

        though是連詞,意思是:雖然,引導(dǎo)表示讓步的狀語從句。

        though還表示“不過、可是”等意思。例如:Most of the land below looked like sand, though Dad told me it is greener than you think.下面的土地看起來絕大部分像沙子,可是父親告訴我地面上比人所想像的要綠些。

        句中than you think中的you指“任何一人”。

        3.學(xué)生獨(dú)立做課本第1、2部分回答問題和連句練習(xí),數(shù)分鐘后,核對(duì)答案。

        4.指導(dǎo)學(xué)生做練習(xí)冊(cè)習(xí)題,當(dāng)堂核對(duì)答案。講解由though引導(dǎo)的表示讓步的狀語從句與含有等立連詞but的并列句之間的區(qū)別,注意加強(qiáng)比較,以免學(xué)生混淆(參閱第93課第3、4部分的內(nèi)容)。

        5.布置作業(yè)

        1)繼續(xù)練習(xí)朗讀第94課課文,準(zhǔn)備復(fù)述;2)以魏華的名義給Bob寫一封回信,要求格式正確,長度相當(dāng)于原文三分之一。

        寫清以下內(nèi)容:

        1)收到來信,表示感謝;2)介紹學(xué)校搞足球聯(lián)賽,本校戰(zhàn)勝對(duì)手,獲得冠軍;3)寄去一些中國郵票,希望他喜歡。
