（二）Future continuous tense
1. We use the future continuous tense to:
Talk about something that will be in progress over a period time in the future.
eg. Toby will be climbing in the Himalayas all next week.
Talk about an action that starts before a point in time in the future and probably continues after it.
eg. Toby will not be in London next Tuesday. He will be climbing in the Himalayas.
Express future without intention
eg. The weather report says that it will be raining when we arrive in London.
When used in this way, we want to indicate that something will happen naturally. It does not imply that the speaker has arranged the action.
Make polite enquiries about other people’s future plans.
eg. Will you be visiting your uncle in Tanzania?

3. Translate the following sentences into English .

1. We use future in the past or the past continuous tense to:
Report an action in the past from a time when it was still in the future.
eg. They set off at 9 a.m. and would reach the airport an hour later.
Indicate a past intention.
eg. I was going to leave, but then it rained.
Indicate a past arrangement
eg. Colin called Jennifer to say that he was seeing her later that afternoon.
Mean that the future action actually happened
The journey that was to change Toby’s life started in July that year.
