        教材分析

        1 .單元背景分析:

        從時間安排,本單元放在國際婦女節(jié)左右的時間,可以引起學(xué)生對婦女問題的關(guān)注。傳統(tǒng)上女性作為賢妻良母,作為一名成功的男性背后的偉大女性而稱頌。但“把女性還給歷史,把歷史還給女性”時,我們不難看出在社會發(fā)展過程中女性所做的不僅是生兒育女,操持家務(wù)等。她們也在政治,經(jīng)濟,科學(xué)文化,教育,軍事等領(lǐng)域中熠熠生輝,彪炳史冊。現(xiàn)今,婦女在取得進步的同時,無論中外都尚存在不少值得深思的女性問題如婦女參政議政比率問題,婦女職業(yè)趨向問題,及美國黑人婦女現(xiàn)象等。

        2 。本單元內(nèi)容分析:

        本單元中心話題為“偉大的女性”,并圍繞此中心展開

        Warm-up ,Listening ,Pre-reading ,Post-reading ,Language study ,Integrating skills ,Tips ,和 checkpoint 等系列活動。

        Warming up: 此部分為兩部分。第一部分,看圖說話。針對四位著名女性談?wù)撍齻?/p>

        生平及在此展開心目中偉大女性的形象及產(chǎn)生的原因。

        第二部分,深層討論針對女性在社會高層中成名或取得工作較難的問題,

        展開男女平等性的研討。

        Listening : 這部分是一則對話,兩個人對舊照片中朋友展開介紹要求能正確抓住人物關(guān)系及人物特征的信息詞:Workbook中是對世界婦女大會組織的介紹并探討聽力材料中人物及獲獎的原因。

        Speaking : 該部分分為兩部分。第一部分看圖說話。呈現(xiàn)出日常女性三個生活場景:工作,休閑,育兒。要求能正確使用有關(guān)形容詞及句型談?wù)撊宋锲焚|(zhì)。第二部分分為小游戲“Guessing the name”。一位同學(xué)想著一名著名女性,其他同學(xué)以提問方式猜出人名。Workbook部分是對新中國成立后女性受到良好的教育及較多的工作機會,但為何她們接受高層工作機會較少展開討論。

        Pre-reading :該部分是Reading的前奏曲。針對去南極探險展開提問.問題涉及探險用具,極圈附近地理環(huán)境,生態(tài)及動物等。

        Reading : 該部分描述了一位60歲Helen Thayer女士獨立探險南極的記述,刻畫了一位勇于冒險,探索自然,不怕困難,冷靜處事,意志堅強的女性形象。該文從Helen的日記中改編截取而來,共8段三個部分。第一段寫開始探險,第二段到第七段說探險過程,第八段結(jié)束--由于身體緣故不得不放棄的心理描寫。

        Post-reading: 該部分分為兩部分。第一部分對于課文的理解。第二部分要求描述Helen的品質(zhì)及由此展開對女性品質(zhì)的稱贊。

        Language Study:分為兩個部分。第一部分詞匯,采用選詞填空的方式。第二部分語法是涉及主謂一致的情況。采用先提供語法知識,后用選詞填空的方式和改寫句子來鞏固.Workbook詞匯部分要求用正確形式填空及課文改編短文填詞及翻譯練習(xí),語法中仍做主謂一致練習(xí)及一篇關(guān)于居里夫人的短文填空。

        Integrating Skill:本文介紹了一位著名美國黑人婦女Oprah Winfrey的介紹。要求掌握刻畫人物品質(zhì)的介紹性說明文的寫法,初步了解黑人婦女的狀況及鞏固書信的格式--該部分用了fan letter的方式來強調(diào)。

        Tips: 掌握正確的方式描寫人物。

        Checkpoint: 語法檢查---對主謂一致的掌握及總結(jié)群體性名詞。本單元結(jié)束要求作一個簡要的自評。

        3 。教學(xué)重點及難點

        重點:1.詞匯,詞組及句型結(jié)構(gòu)。

        2.正確描述人物品質(zhì)。

        3.按照時間為序有層次的刻畫人物寫作手法的掌握。

        4.了解掌握主謂一致。

        5.鞏固fan-letter.

        難點 :1 .形象準確描述人物。

        2 .討論:男女平等性開放性話題。

        3 .了解男女平等,美國黑人問題及黑人婦女狀況等問題。

        2.To know the reason why we admire them

        3. To catch the key words to describe persons

        2. Lead-in this unit by asking questions as follows

        This month is March .Can you tell me the festivals of this month in the world ?

        Can you tell me some days about women ?

        In the world , do you know a woman who really inspires you ?Can you explain the reason ?

        Can you tell me other famous women ?

        Look at the pictures ,who are they ?

        3. Listening

        Now , I’d like you listen to some information about these four persons .After listening , tell me who I just describe .

        She was born in Warsaw on Nov,7,1867. When she was 24 years old , she went to Paris to continue her studies in Physics and Mathematical sciences . There, she got married to Pierre .After the death of her husband , she took the place as Professor of Physics .She discovered polonium and radium. She received the Nobel Prize twice.-Madame Curie.

        She was born in West Virginia, but she spent most of her life in China. In 1920s she began to publish stories and essays in magazines .Her first novel ,East Wind ,West Wind was publish in 1930. The Good Earth , her 2nd novel won her the Pulitzer Prize . She won the Nobel Prize in literature .She published over 70 books in her life time .---Pearl S. Buck

        She was born on August 27 ,1910. When she was12,she determined to help the poor and India was her destination . At 18, she went to India and took her initial vows as a nun . She devoted herself to this place . She received the Nobel Peace Prize in 1979. She died in 1997-Mother Teresa .(To keep a lump burning ,we have to keep putting oil in it –Mother Teresa)

        She was born into a rich family . As the widow of Sun Yatsen , she became an important member of the elite of P.R.C. She was the vice-chairperson of the P.R.C. and devoted herself to the welfare activities for women and children.-Song Qinglin

        4. Discussion

        It has been said life is difficult as it is .For women it seems twice as difficult .Is it more difficult for women to become famous or get jobs in high positions. What do you think?
