pretty, beautiful, good-looking, handsome這組形容詞都可用于形容人或物,指“美麗”。其區(qū)別是：
1、beautiful少用于男性; handsome用于男性,指“英俊”“瀟灑”; pretty偶爾用于男性時(shí)含貶義。例如:
He is young and handsome.他既年輕又英俊。
2、在修飾女性時(shí), beautiful指“漂亮”,表示令人愉快的和諧與完美,側(cè)重陰柔之美,氣質(zhì)高雅; handsome指“端莊健美”, pretty指“嬌小可愛(ài)”, good-looking僅指一般的好看。例如:
