夢想與青春演講稿英文五篇1
As the saying goes, what wakes you up in the morning is not your alarmclock, but you dream. The future is unknowable, but dream give us the direction. In some moment maybe the reality is harsh and you are suffering much. If youhave a dream, even a very small one, it will light your life in the darkness andkeep you hiding from the reality, for dream will give you the energy tofight.
However, sometimes it seems that what is practical and sensible does notconnect with your most treasured dreams. I am a freshman ,indeed my college lifeis not as colorful as imagined before, all plans and goals just be hung up。I’mvery afraid that even if I graduated from college, I still couldn’t find a joband then had a better life. Faced with the cruel reality,we college studentsshould really make good use of these facilities and learn as much usefulknowledge as possible。Then after graduation, we would find it’s much easier toget a decent job.
When I am a little girl,my father gave me two cups filled with soil, heasked me to water one cup every day。Two weeks later, tender leaves appeared inthe cup that I watered everyday。Father said to me:“The seed represents for yourdream, without sweat and effort,it won’t come out .By no means will your dreamturn into reality if you never pay for it.”
From this story I learn that If I intend to full my dreams ,I must workhard, make efforts ,and get prepared ,otherwise I will get no possibility tosucceed.

It's a great honor for me to stand here to deliver a speech to you. Thentoday I want to talk something about dreams and reality.
As the famous Russian litterateur Lev Tolstoy said, “Ideal is the beacon.Without ideal, there is no secure direction; without a direction, there is nolife.” So there’s no doubt that everyone needs his or her own ideal. Have youever thought that what is practical and sensible will connect with our mosttreasured dreams? Maybe, to somebody, reality has little relation to ideal. Toothers nothing can be done without the sense of reality. So make our dreams apart of our reality. And make our reality a part of our dreams. There is noreason why our dreams must oppose our reality. Improve our dreams and ourreality by bringing them together.
As a university student, establishing a dream is one of the most importantthings we have to do .But everyone must see the reality clearly at first. Yourfamily condition, your personal ability, your social intercourse, your subjectand the job you want to do, these things show you the reality and lead you toestablish a dream.
Further more, difficult or otherwise, we should put the power of realityinto our dreams. Last but not least remember to work hard at the task of chasingour dreams. Do believe that we can achieve our ideal step by step by the passageof time!
In the end, I want to share with you a poetrynamed " Ithink I can"
Maybe you can not understand the meaning of the poetry , But do not beworried ,Let me tell you the meaning
Thank you for your listening!

Ladies and Gentlemen:
It’s my great honor to stand here to share my speech with you. Today thetopic of my speech is: The Pursuit of Dream.
Now let’s think of our old days as we were students in primary schools.Have you ever remembered that the teachers often ask questions as “what’s yourdream?”, or “what are you want to be in the future?” and what’s your answer inthat childish and fantastic age? Has anyone of you answered like this: “I wantto be a painter”, or “I want to be a scientist”, or “I plan to be a police”?
A few years later, we start our new journey of study in high schools andbecome mature and practical in our mind. Then, have you ever changed yourdreams? If so, what’s it?
But now, I think, most of us become down-to-earth and the dream is morepractical than before. However, have you taken actions to pursue your dream? Areyou working hard enough to make your dream come true?
As for myself, I have dreamed to be an excellent police in high school dueto there are so many thefts in my hometown while they are seldom caught. SoonerI have realized how ridiculous am I and now I turn to realistic: I just want tobe a translator.
How do I pursue my dream?
First of all, I try my best to correct the pronunciation and read thetextbook or other English magazines such as: English weekly, English salon andthe like. I try to do this day by day. Now I have improved my reading ability alot and it also enlarged my vocabulary.
Secondly, I often do some translating extension and embrace my teacher’ssuggestion. It benefits me much.
Last but not the least, I realize my dream by reading Chinese literature.Maybe you will say it’s what the Chinese major students should do. If you sayso, you are badly wrong. For as an English major student, how can you knowothers well if you even don’t familiar with your country? On the other hand, italso benefits me in translation and writing.
In a word, I have already working in my dream. What about you?
That’s all. Thank you.
夢想與青春演講稿英文五篇4
I have a dream today.
I have a dream that one day every vally shall be exalted, every hill andmountain shall be made low, the rough places will be made plain, and the crookedplaces will be made straight, and the glory of the Lord shall be revealed, andall flesh shall see it together.
Wow, what a dream it has been for Martin Luther King. But the changingworld seems telling me that people gradually get their dreams lost somehow inthe process of growing up, and sometimes I personally find myself saying goodbyeunconsciously to those distant childhood dreams.
However, we meed dreams. They nourish our spirit; they representpossibility even when we are dragged down by reality. They keep us going. Mostsuccessful people are dreamers as well as ordinary people who are not afraid tothink big and dare to be great. When we were little kids, we all dreamed ofdoing something big and splashy, something significant. Now what we need to dois to maintain them, refresh them and turn them into reality. However, thetoughest part is that we often have no ideas how to translate these dreams intoactions. Well, just start with concrete objectives and stick to it. Don’t letthe nameless fear confuse the eye and confound our strong belief of future.Through our talents, through our wits, through our endurance and through ourcreativity, we will make it.
Hold fast to dreams, for if dreams die, life is a broken-winged bird thatcannot fly. Hold fast to dreams, for when dreams go, life is a barren fieldfrozen with snow. So my dear friends, think of your old and maybe dead dreams.Whatever it is, pick it up and make it alive from today.

hello everyone!
i am happy to join with you today in what will go down in history as thegreatest demonstration for freedom in the history of our nation.
five score years ago, a great american, in whose symbolic shadow we standtoday, signed the emancipation proclamation. this momentous decree came as agreat beacon light of hope to millions of negro slaves who had been seared inthe flames of withering injustice. it came as a joyous daybreak to end the longnight of their captivity.
but one hundred years later, the negro still is not free. one hundred yearslater, the life of the negro is still sadly crippled by the manacles ofsegregation and the chains of discrimination. one hundred years later, the negrolives on a lonely island of poverty in the midst of a vast ocean of materialprosperity. one hundred years later, the negro is still languished in thecorners of american society and finds himself an exile in his own land. and sowe've come here today to dramatize a shameful condition.
in a sense we've come to our nation's capital to cash a check. when thearchitects of our republic wrote the magnificent words of the constitution andthe declaration of independence, they were signing a promissory note to whichevery american was to fall heir. this note was a promise that all men, yes, black men as well as white men, would be guaranteed the "unalienable rights" of"life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness." it is obvious today that americahas defaulted on this promissory note, insofar as her citizens of color areconcerned. instead of honoring this sacred obligation, america has given thenegro people a bad check, a check which has come back marked "insufficientfunds."
Thank you!
