端午節(jié)的英語三分鐘演講稿 1
Thanks a lot for your last letter, in which you asked me about the Dragon Boat Festival, a traditional Chinese festival. Here is something about it.
Over a thousand years ago, there was a famous poem called Qu Yuan in China. He cared about the common people as well as the whole country, so he did a lot for them. However, he was not satisfied with the political situation at that time. What’s worse, he was unable to change it. At last, he felt so hopeless that he decided to take his own life (take one’s own life = commit suicide自殺). Finally, he jumped into the Miluo River and drowned. In memory of him, people created the Dragon Boat Festival.
The Dragon Boat Festival falls on the fifth day of the fifth lunar month, so it is also called the Double Fifth Festival. It usually comes in June. In China, it has been a public holiday, so we have 3 days off. On that day, we usually eat zongzi, a kind of traditional Chinese food, which is made of glutinous rice (stuffed with different things). It tastes really delicious. We also drink xionghua wine. It’s said that it can keep us from evil spirits. To celebrate this festival, what’s more, we have many activities. The most popular one is dragon boat races. People usually take active part in them and enjoy themselves a lot during the races.
I’m really glad that you’re interested in our Dragon Boat Festival. If you want to know more about it, I’d like to send you some photos that I took during the festival last year. I hope they will be helpful.
I’m looking forward to hearing from you.

Today is the traditional festival of the Chinese nation-Dragon Boat Festival.
On this day, people will eat zongzi and race dragon boats. But, you know what? Now you should pay attention to eating zongzi. The palm leaves are turquoise at first. Normally, after being cooked, the leaves will be dark green, grayish black or dark yellow, and will not be turquoise. If the zongzi is still turquoise, dont eat it, because this palm leaf contains a lot of copper.
This morning, my father called me up for breakfast. When I came, I asked, "Do you have zongzi to eat?" "No, eat porridge." I said, "Ah, is it still the Dragon Boat Festival without eating zongzi?" "Oh, well, your mother and I are going to the vegetable market now, and you are waiting at home to read."
Unexpectedly, as soon as my father and mother came home, my father hurriedly changed into a camouflage uniform to go out. I hurriedly asked, "Dad, what are you doing?" Dad just said "something happened at work" and went out.
After my father went out, my mother asked me if I was hungry. Would you like to eat some food first? I said, "Im not hungry now. Lets eat together when Dad comes back!" " I didnt expect to wait until eleven oclock before my father finally came back. My mother smiled and said, "It seems that we only need to eat two meals today." Then, my mother and I began to serve dishes, and our family of three laughed and ate happily together.
After dinner, we watched the the legendary swordsman program of Oriental TV together, and laughed so hard that my stomach ached.

Good Morning, everyone!
There are many traditional festivals in our country, such as the festive Spring Festival, Tomb-Sweeping Day in memory of relatives, and the Mid-Autumn Festival ... I like the lively Dragon Boat Festival best.
There is another story about the origin of the Dragon Boat Festival! A long time ago, there was a native of Chu named Qu Yuan, who was deported to a remote place because of his political disagreement. However, Qu Yuan was a patriotic man. He had no choice but to serve his country and could not bear to see his country bullied, so he jumped into the river and committed suicide. The local Chu people knew that Qu Yuan was dead, so they went down to the river by boat to look for Qu Yuans body, and threw food into the river so that the fish and turtles in the river could eat enough and not eat Qu Yuans body. Since then, in order to commemorate Qu Yuan, a dragon boat race has been held on the Miluo River on the fifth day of May every year, and people have to make dumplings and eat them.
Every Dragon Boat Festival, my family will also eat zongzi, and grandma will wrap some zongzi with different shapes. There are square ones and long ones ... One kind of zongzi is very small and exquisite. Its shape is like a sharp ice cream. I can eat one in one bite. Zongzi also has many tastes: there are bean paste, candied dates, red beans and salty meat stuffing. I like the salty meat stuffing best. When the green palm leaves are peeled off, the salty meat smells good, and a brown brown palm is "solved" by me in a short time. I cant get tired of eating that little piece of bacon, with endless aftertaste.
Dragon Boat Festival, there are delicious zongzi and touching stories. Why dont I like it?

Today is a traditional festival in China. There are many customs, such as dragon boat racing, eating zongzi and hanging mugwort leaves. As far as I can remember, every Dragon Boat Festival, grandma always makes zongzi, boiled salted duck eggs, steamed garlic, made me sachets, and brought five-color thread. Grandpa ed the bought mugwort leaves in the door to ward off evil spirits.
This years Dragon Boat Festival falls on a Saturday. My grandparents got everything ready for the festival on Friday, waiting for us to go back.
Back to grandmas house, grandma brought me the sachet and five-color thread, and I was intoxicated by the fragrance of mugwort leaves. I volunteered to learn to make zongzi. Grandma said, ask a question before you pack to see if you know. Why are the leaves of zongzi green outside and white inside? I cant answer. Grandma said, the moral is to be clear and white, like Qu Yuan. After listening to grandmas explanation, I sighed: Its good to commemorate Qu Yuans tradition on Dragon Boat Festival, which not only allows us to eat delicious food, but also serves as an education.
After hard work, I wrapped a zongzi. Although its not beautiful, its my first time to wrap a zongzi, and Im proud of my work! I also took a photo of my dumplings and put them on QQ as a souvenir. Eating dumplings wrapped by yourself, dont mention how happy you are. My zongzi is the most eaten zongzi in the world!
Thank you!

Good morning! The theme of todays speech is "Protecting Our Traditional Festivals". In a few days, it will be the Dragon Boat Festival. During the Dragon Boat Festival, thousands of people will eat zongzi and hang bags. People will hang wormwood, race dragon boats and hold poetry parties one after another.
There are many legends about the origin of the Dragon Boat Festival, among which the memorial to Qu Yuan is the most widely circulated. Qu Yuan was a great patriotic poet in ancient China, because he didnt want to see the tragic scene of the countrys destruction and death. On the fifth day of the fifth lunar month, he embraced stones and jumped into the river. From then on, on the fifth day of May every year, people will spontaneously row boats to the river to mourn Qu Yuan. Over time, the custom of dragon boat race has been formed.
How will we spend a meaningful traditional festival every time we miss our relatives?
Lets spread the leaves of zongzi gently and include patriotism. In memory of this great patriotic poet, people throw zongzi wrapped in colorful silk thread into the water every day to express their mourning.
Lets spread the leaves of zongzi gently and wrap the civilization in. Traditional culture is the spiritual blood and continuation gene of the Chinese nation. As children in the new era, we should inherit Chinese civilization and carry it forward.
Students, in this traditional festival that has lasted for two thousand years, lets spread the leaves of Zongzi gently, wrap all gratitude and blessings and give them to our great motherland. My speech is over, thank you.

More than two thousand years ago, Qu Yuan, a great patriotic poet, looked up at the Miluo River with a sigh and threw himself into the torrent. More than 2,000 years later, the fifth day of May became a traditional festival-Dragon Boat Festival. People wrapped zongzi and held dragon boat races to commemorate this patriotic poet in various ways.
This years Dragon Boat Festival, my mother taught me to make zongzi. I saw that she took out the high-quality glutinous rice she just bought, and then found zongzi leaves. My mother asked me to cook them in a pot. I asked strangely, "Why!" Mother said, "leaves can give off fragrance when boiled." After cooking, I cut off both ends of the leaves according to my mothers instructions. At the beginning of wrapping, my mother took two or three zongzi leaves to form a funnel, then put the glutinous rice in, wrapped the head with a zongzi leaf to prevent the glutinous rice from leaking out, and finally tied the zongzi tightly with thread. So its wrapped. But I always couldnt wrap it firmly, and the glutinous rice always fell out. Later, I tied the zongzi several times. Its not pretty, but its finally wrapped. One, two, three ... We have packed more than twenty bags altogether.
Finally, my mother put the zongzi into the pot and cooked it. After a few hours, the sweet and delicious zongzi finally came out of the pot.

Dragon Boat Festival is a traditional festival in China, which is celebrated all over the country. On the Dragon Boat Festival, we ate delicious zongzi, put on fragrant sachets, some rowed dragon boats, some danced dragons and lions, and we went to my brothers house in the countryside to play. Lets have a look together!
Wheat is everywhere on both sides of the road, and the mature ears of wheat are dancing in the breeze, which is really like a golden ocean. When I arrived at my brothers house, I saw many fruit trees, including apricot trees, plum trees and peach trees. The trees were full of fruits, and the heavy fruits bent the branches. I really want to pick one at once and try it! My brothers family also feeds many animals, including chickens, sheep, dogs and rabbits. After visiting their home, we went up the hill. I walked along the path until I came to the ravine. I was curious to see several caves, so I ran in. It was all dark inside, and I couldnt see anything. I was scared and ran out and walked straight ahead. I saw a good cave with a layer outside and a layer inside, which is the best cave here. I asked my mother what this is for. Mother said, "This is where people lived in ancient times, because it was poor and they only lived in caves."
Is it interesting here? Come and play if its fun!

The fifth day of the fifth lunar month is the Dragon Boat Festival, which is one of the biggest traditional festivals in China. There are four or five theories about the origin of the Dragon Boat Festival, and the one I am most used to is commemorating Qu Yuan.
More than two thousand years ago, Qu Yuan, a very patriotic Chu poet, jumped into the river and committed suicide because his country was occupied by Qin. For thousands of years, people have commemorated him and paid homage to him.
Our country will have a national holiday on this day. My whole family got together and was as busy as the New Year: Grandpa poured realgar into white wine, stirred it evenly and scattered it in every corner to repel insects; Mom and dad put calamus cut like an arrow in front of the door, which is said to be used to exorcise evil spirits; Grandma cooked one dish after another of my favorite dishes in the kitchen: fried shredded potatoes, sliced bamboo shoots, shredded pork, fried onions, fried shrimps ... My mouth is watering all over the floor. Our family gathered around the table to eat cake cones, poured gravy on them and took a bite. Well, it was delicious!
Traditional cultural festivals in life let us know that our motherland has a long history and splendid culture, and let us know that we should love our motherland like Qu Yuan.

Today is the traditional Dragon Boat Festival in China. Everyone should know that the Dragon Boat Festival is about making dumplings and eating them. Many families make their own dumplings to eat, and our family is no exception, too.
My uncle got up early and went to the supermarket to buy zongye and glutinous rice, but my mother and menstruation woke me, my sister and my brother up and told the three of us to wash up and wait for my uncle. We just came back after washing up and looked at the dazzling array of fillings. How should we wrap them? Im completely confused. Only consult menstruation. Menstruation said, "Come on, follow me. First, roll the leaves into a funnel shape, fill in a little glutinous rice, put two peanuts, a jujube and a dried longan and sprinkle some black sesame seeds. Just seal this mouth!" As menstruation did, we rolled the leaves round and round, and then tied the whole zongzi with thread. Success, although it doesnt look very good, but my heart is still very happy. Lets all work together, and it will all be finished in a short time. Then grandpa began to cook zongzi, which was cooked. We are eating our own dumplings, not to mention how delicious they are.
I like the Dragon Boat Festival, a happy Dragon Boat Festival.

Dragon Boat Festival is the fifth day of the fifth lunar month, also known as Duanyang Festival, Noon Festival and May Festival. Dragon Boat Festival is a traditional festival for the Han people in China to commemorate Qu Yuan, a patriotic poet who cast his hat in Miluo River. It is also a custom to eat zongzi, race dragon boats, hang calamus, wormwood, mugwort leaves, smoke Atractylodes rhizome and angelica dahurica, and drink realgar wine.
There are many kinds of zongzi. If they are divided by region, they can be divided into north and south. In addition, even the types of leaves that make zongzi are divided into south and north.
The difference between the north and the south of zongzi: Because the south is rich in bamboo, local materials are used to bind zongzi with bamboo leaves. Most people like to use fresh bamboo leaves, because the zongzi tied with dried bamboo leaves will not have the fragrance of bamboo leaves when cooked.
Northerners, on the other hand, are used to tying zongzi with reed leaves. Reed leaves are slender and narrow, so they should be used by overlapping two or three pieces.
As far as taste is concerned, zongzi in the north is mainly sweet, while zongzi in the south is less sweet and more salty.
Because it is Sunday, my mother is busy making zongzi at home. A lot of materials are prepared, the most important ones are zongzi leaves and glutinous rice, and there are different kinds of "stuffing", including candied dates, bean paste, red beans, fresh meat and peanuts.
Thank you!

Hello everyone!
I heard from my mother that there are many commemorative activities in her hometown during the Dragon Boat Festival. For example, wash your hands and face with wormwood leaves in the morning, wormwood and colored gourds on the door, make some sachets with herbs, wear colorful threads for children, boil eggs and make zongzi. A jubilant crowd. In a word, this festival is very important, and it is a big folk festival.
In the past, Dragon Boat Festival was Chinas Daughters Day. Every year, people would take colorful balls with colorful threads. On a rainy day after the fifth day of May every year, people would throw colorful balls in a rainy place. It is said that this would bring people good luck for a year.
Our country has always attached importance to traditional festivals. In recent years, the Dragon Boat Festival has been listed as a legal holiday, and people all over the country celebrate traditional festivals. Here, what I want to say in particular is that many people ignore the traditional festivals in China, but like foreign festivals, such as Christmas, April Fools Day and Halloween. This cannot be advocated. We are from China, and there is a profound traditional culture behind each traditional festival. Every time we spend a traditional festival, we are baptized physically and mentally. We should be proud of being from China!
Thank you.

My favorite is the Dragon Boat Festival on the fifth day of May.
By that morning, everyone had put calamus and wormwood on the gate, which was said to ward off evil spirits.
You can taste delicious zongzi on Dragon Boat Festival. There are many kinds of zongzi, such as bean zongzi, brown sugar zongzi, jujube zongzi and meat zongzi ... It really makes my eyes shine! I cant help but rush up, pick up a zongzi and bite hard. "Wow! Its delicious! " I cant help but gulp down.
You can also watch exciting dragon boat races during the Dragon Boat Festival. On that day, the big drums, cheers and shouts rang out from the riverside. The contestants, dressed in colorful clothes, clung to the oars and shouted neat slogans, struggling to swing the oars and headed for the finish line. Dragon boats roll and fly like dragons on the river. People kept shouting and cheering on the banks of the river.
Speaking of Dragon Boat Festival, there is a beautiful legend! Legend has it that Qu Yuan, a poet of Chu State, threw himself into the river because his country was occupied. People were afraid that fish would eat Qu Yuans body, so they rowed boats to the river to salvage it, and threw zongzi into the river, hoping that fish would only eat zongzi without hurting Qu Yuans body.
This is the Dragon Boat Festival in our hometown. Do you like it?
