The college students I see are eagerly learning about how to live independently. We help each other clean the dormitory, go shopping and bargain together, and take part time jobs to supplement our pocket money.
The cynics say we care for nothing other than grades; and we neglect the need for character cultivation. But again, the cynics are wrong. We care deeply for each other, we cherish freedom, we treasure justice, and we seek truth. Last week, thousands of my fellow students had their blood type tested in order to make a contribution for the children who suffer from blood cancer.
As college students, we are adolescents at the critical turning point in our lives. We all face a fundamental choice: cynicism or faith, each will profoundly impact our future, or even the future of our country. I believe in all my fellow classmates. Though we are still inexperienced and even a little bit childish. I believe that we have the courage and faith to meet any challenge and take on our responsibilities. Thank you very much for choosing to come in such a cold y my topic is about choice and process.A research shows that a man has to make 73 choices one so many choices one day, people easily get so confused and afraid of making wrong choice that they hesitate and finally miss the true part of life. In my opinion, the following part is of much more importance than the choice. There is no absolute right or wrong choice but wonderful or boring life, which the process makes the difference.
Life is a box of chocolate,you never know what you will get. Forrest Gump made no decision by and for himself but he accomplished great success with his strong will in the process. The process is not the road itself but the attitudes and feelings ,the caution, courage and persistance we have as we encounter new experience and unexpected obstacles. Take myself as an example, I changed my major when I became a postgraduate. After the choice,days have been harsh for me.I cannot understand the new lessons at all. For they are closely related to mathmatics which I learned nothing about before. However wuth the belief that this is the great chance for me to experience new ideas and challenge myself,I persisted. I asked for help from every channel and reorgonized my life. Gradually I could understand some parts and even found maths over, I learned to act instead of complaining. In retrospect,the choice left no trace in my mind but the happiness and bitterness of the past four months becomes an unforgetable experience in my life.
NO matter what the choice is, enjoy the process. In the process, your potential will be inspired and new discoveries,improvement and progress will come to you. These are the most beautiful sceneries and only on the way can you see e make your life colorful.
There is no need and I donnot want to judge whether it right or wrong for me to be here,but I congratulate to myself for I gain and enjoy this fantastic experience. 我是葉施云，來自502班。我呢，雖然在老師面前是一個有點膽小的女生，但是我和周邊同學還是處得不錯的。我們經(jīng)常能互幫互助，不管是男生還是女生。除此之外，我的書法也寫得不錯，在校內(nèi)和校外都學了好幾年的字，而且考出了六級，今年準備沖刺7級。我覺得，這對于今后的幫助應該是非常大的。
在英語方面，我是很有自信的，我的每次成績最少能達到90分以上。另外，我還在外面學了三年多的英語，目前已經(jīng)升到新概念1—2了。這對于我的視、聽、說水平是非常重要的，也大大增加了我的詞匯量。每次默寫單詞，我?guī)缀醵寄軐懭珜�。就在上一次第一單元所有單詞默寫中，三顆星（最高也是三顆星）呢。在家中，我都會花上25分鐘左右的時間來流利地朗讀課文。有空時我還會看帶有英文的書，爸爸說這能提高我的英語水平。遇到不懂的還可以翻開英文字典查看注釋。以上幾點，大大地增強了我的語法知識。
對于作業(yè)，我都是很及時地上交，回到家后只有朗讀課文就行了。有時看到課代表遲遲沒有發(fā)本子時或組織同學聽寫單詞時，總會一個勁兒地催他。
如果我當上了英語課代表，一定會仔細檢查同學上交作業(yè)中的錯誤，讓他們及時改正。也會把他們不準確的發(fā)音，盡我所能地糾正。同學遇到不理解的閱讀題目，我也會在確定答案的情況下，跟他們進行分析。總之，我會配合各項工作，盡到我的職責，并及時地搬發(fā)本子，和老師報告上交作業(yè)的情況。
假如我沒當上英語課代表，我也不會灰心。因為那就說明還有很多比我更優(yōu)秀的人，我要更加嚴格地約束自己，讓自己更加出類拔萃，爭取“更上一層樓！”

I have always admired the long healthy life my grandparents have. They are older than 80 years of age and they are still alive and kicking! How do they do that!? My grandparents plant vegetables and grow rice themselves; even in their old age they still make food for themselves! I guess that is why they can remain healthy. More importantly they remain humble and never ask for too much from life. Perhaps that makes them common, but they live a happy life. My grandmother once told me this:" I do not want to live long, only long enough for some grand children to be running around in my house". I want to live a long, healthy and happy life just as they have.
Since my graduation from primary school, until now, every time on my birthday I make the same wish. I wish my parents will not fight anymore. I am not complaining that they gave me a bad childhood, they just fight so much! I am unhappy but that does not mean they do not love me. They do! They love me with all their heart. I love my parents also; I want them to live a happy life as well.
I want to travel this great country of ours. I want to see the beauty of our country. I want to see the miracles that made this country great! I want to go from the east to west, from the north all the way down to the south! I have a dream, that one day I can travel and see my country with my family and friends! If that is not possible, seeing my country on my own is good enough also.
If I can fulfill all three of my dreams in life, then God can take me away. I would be happy, and l would have lived a full and prosperous life.

Therefore, I believe that we should never give up.
One reason is that if we give up too easily, we will rarely achieve anything. It is not unusual for us to fail in our first attempt at something new, so we should not feel discouraged and should try again. Besides, if we always give up when we fail, we will not be able to develop new skills and grow as people. Another reason we should never give up is that we can learn from our mistakes only if we make a new effort. If we do not try again, the lesson we have learned is wasted. Finally, we should never give up because as we work to reach our goals, we develop confidence, and this confidence can help us succeed in other areas of our lives. If we never challenge ourselves, we will begin to doubt our abilities.
In short, it is important that we do not give up when working for our goals. Whether we succeed in the end or not, we will learn something, and what we learn will help us to become better, more confident people. Furthermore, if we give up, we have non chance of attaining our goals, but if we keep trying, there is always a chance that we will succeed one day.

If one has no confidence, there is little possibility that one would ever achieve anything, especially when one is faced with drawbacks or hardships. This truth seems to be evident. But for many others, this only shows that they have lost heart.
Why do people often feel frustrated even though they are capable of doing something? There are, among others, two main reasons. First, these people do have a correct estimate of themselves. Second, they overestimate the difficulties.
It is possible to build up faith in oneself by having the right attitude towards one’s abilities. We should never underestimate one’s abilities. But believe in the proverb: "Where there is a will, there is a way." Confidence is the promise for fulfilling a task successfully.
