Desmond Tutu, winner of the Nobel Peace Prize in 1984, once said, "Your family are God's gift to you, as you are to them.", which tells us that parents are to us what lighthouses are to ships. Without parents, we would get lost when we grow up; without us, parents would feel sad and lonely.
I'm the apple of my parents' eye. As a pupil, I couldn't remember English words, often failing exams. So bitter was the feeling of being defeated that I thought of giving up. To encourage me, they told me to fill a glass with rapid running water. Unexpectedly, I found however hard I tried, my glass was only half full. Only then, did I realize what I needed to learn English well were right ways. With their help, I mastered the methods of memorizing vocabulary. Now, English has become my strength, which has also become their pride and joy.
No doubt both parents and we are important to each other.

I decided to be a middle teacher after college. There are many reasons contribute to this decision.
Firstly, when I was a little/boy, I have been dreaming of being a teacher. It seemed so fascinate to me and I hope I can make my dream come true.
And, I like so much to be with middle school students. Most of the students at that age are full of youthful spirity and I am sure their passion would pass to me. I will retain all the zest of adolescence.
The most important reason is that our country needs plenty of teachers. So far, teaching is considered a tough and low-income job in China. However, if we have not enough teachers, our future will lack of excellent scientist, managers, businessmen, soldiers and even goood workers and farmers. How can our country to be strong and wealthy? I wish my country to be a better one. I am ready to be a teacher and hope all the persons with lofty ideals may dedicate themselves to this meaningful career.

有了剛才的'教訓(xùn)，我便乖乖地把嘴巴閉起來，一言不發(fā)。不一會老師便注意到我的情況，又開玩笑說：“這會學(xué)乖了，不插嘴了？被揪一下就不敢說了，真是膽小。”我聽了，鼓起勇氣，又積極回答起來。就這樣，英語課就在一陣又一陣歡笑聲不知不覺地度過了。

我的.初中英語老師很嚴格。每當早讀時，她一走進教室，我們便知道今天要聽寫英語單詞了。我們拿本子的速度很慢，她就會說：“快點嘛！真的是，叫你們不把自己的聽寫本放好�！眴卧~聽寫完后，我們總是要討論自己聽寫得如何。這時她就會說：“你們能不能安靜一點，再不安靜的人，我就扣操行分了！”但是每次說完話后，總是會有同學(xué)還要說話，只不過把音量調(diào)小了很多�？墒抢蠋煹亩浼猓看味寄苈犚�，便生氣地說：“A和B，我用語言告訴你們不要說話，你們偏不聽，你們是不是需要我付出行動？”A和B同學(xué)就使勁搖頭，老師看見后會說“你們話多，上課時就多回答問題吧！”上課時，每當有同學(xué)太活潑，老師就會十分嚴厲地說：“X同學(xué)禁言十分鐘！”
我的初中英語老師很幽默。記得有一次，老師教我們讀“沙灘”的英語單詞，老師教的很認真，說：“記住，要讀長音。”我當時并沒有搞懂長音和短音的區(qū)別，老師請我起來朗讀時，班上許多同學(xué)都在笑，我十分茫然。老師說：“你讀錯了�！边�告訴我，如果讀成了短音，就變成了另外一個單詞——“母狗�！比绻f“我要去沙灘”人家外國人就會聽成“我要去母狗”！聽到這里，我的臉刷一下就變紅了。從此以后，我明白了短音和長音區(qū)別很大，英語發(fā)音很重要。
