        【精華】英語作文合集5篇

        英語作文 篇1

Good idea is different for everyone and is distinct each time you receive it. Sometimes I receive advice and don’t realize what it is until I actually need to apply it.

Whenever I seek guidance I turn to my friends, parents, acquaintances, and teachers because I respect their judgment. Given a difficult decision to make, even though I know what their response will be, I still look to them for help. I search for their understanding to reinforce what I already know I need to do. It’s easier for me to make a decision because when I hear the same solution being said by someone else I know someone is behind me, supporting my choice even if I mess up. They can show me options that would work for my situation and they won’t try and mislead me by giving advise that could cause me to get hurt.

When I receive good advice I’m never led by the advisor to think that I have to do what they suggest. The advisor aids me in deciding what’s best for me. They lay down choices that I can make and then it’s up to me to decide the course that I want to take. I sometimes go with the most logical solution and then other times decide to take the consequences that come with deciding to go the other way.

When we had written papers on why writing was important I had written that it helps people to communicate better because it teaches you how to express yourself, improving your communication skills. It’s the same idea with giving advice. The better grasp you have on language (which writing helps inquire) the more effective you’ll be at giving someone advice. They’ll better understand what you’re trying to get across to them and you’ll have an easier time of helping the advisee take your advice more seriously.

        英語作文 篇3

Everyone expects to succeed in whatever he/she does. Unfortunately no one is always successful in all his / her life, not even such great people as Marx, Mao, Madam Currie and Einstein. Different people hold different attitudes towards failure. Some people become discouraged and are even defeated by failure, while some other people learn lessons from, failure and continue their efforts.

There is no denying that failure is a bad thing, but "Bad things can turn to good things." It all depends on how we deal with it. If we are pessimistic, we will lose heart. If we are optimistic, we will see hope. I really have sympathy for those who, being badly hurt by failure, lose self confidence and confidence in life. However, I have even greater admiration for those who, being stimulated by failure, go on straight forward to achieve success.

I believe in the saying "Failure is the mother of success." If I fail, I will try again, If I fail again. I will try and try again.

        英語作文 篇4

As the pace of life quickens and the pressure from our work increases, some people say that we are becoming more gloomy and unhappy with each passing day. They believe that, in fact, we are losing our ability to laugh. They also hold that if we laugh more often we will feel happier and be more healthy because "laughter is the best medicine".

What they say seems radical, but in fact not radical at ail. Laughter can really bring us a lot of benefits. First, laughter has a similar effect to physical exercise. It speeds up our heart rate, increases our blood pressure and quickens our breathing. It also makes our facial and stomach muscles work. In fact, it is a kind of "jogging" on the spot. Next, laughter is a kind of pain relief. When we laugh, we produce a kind of chemical materials in our body that helps us to relieve pain. In addition, laughter stimulates our immune system, preventing us from being infected by diseases. Third, laughter improves our state of mind and affects our entire physical well beings. Laughter helps us feel healthy and alive. Each time we laugh, we feel better and more content. Finally, laughter helps to ease the tension between people. Sometimes when people are going to quarrel with each other for one reason or another, a humorous remark leading to laughter can help settle the argument.

        英語作文 篇5

In most cases, one should never judge a person by external appearances. Sometimes when I walk down the street at night, I avoid people who are acting tough and loud, but in general, I prefer to reserve judgment until I get to know someone. Judging someone by external appearance can be deceptive. Judgments based on external appearances prevent you from getting to know a person reinforce stereotypes, and are superficial and limiting.

In high school, I stayed away from students who were called the "bad students" because they dressed a certain way. I wanted nothing to do with them. I later had the chance to meet one of these "bad students" because of our mothers, we started talking and I realized that we had a lot in common. My impression of him was very different once I got to know him.

If you form an opinion of someone based on stereotypes, you risk never getting to know someone who is different. You may are be missing out on an opportunity to make a good friend. In addition, you are reinforcing that stereotype by believing it without given the person a chance. If you take the time to get to know the person, you might become friends.

Judging people by external appearance is superficial and often unfair. After all, you don't know what circumstances the person might be facing or who the person really is. Perhaps the person comes from a less fortunate family than you and cannot afford the kind of stylish clothes your friends wear. However, that does not mean the person is less intelligent or interesting than you are.

People should not be naive about new people they meet, but should take time to get to know them. External appearance often does not tell us anything about a person. Judging someone by their appearance is misleading, reinforces stereotypes, and is limiting. Doing so could prevent you from making a true friend.
