Now the 26th Centennial World Olympic Games are in full swing in Altanda. The Olympic flame is burning red and bright in the torch at the center of the Olympic square. Earlier before the official opening of the games it had been relayed one by one through the hands of runners, among them, students supported by the Chinese hope project. Thousands of people lined the struts to watch the relay.
The relay of the Olympic Flame is the symbol of the continuity between the ancient and modern Games. During the ancient Olympics a sacred flame burned at the altar of Zeus. A modern version of the flame was adopted for the Berlin Games in 1936, and the tradition has been observed ever since. The torch used to kindle the flame is first lit by the sun's rays at Olympia in Greece, and then carried to the site of the Games by relays of runners.Ships and planes are used when necessary.
The runners are specially chosen, All of them are hard working and as a result become overacbievers. The flame kindles the fire in everyone's heart to encourage people to go on and on and bring the Olympic spirit into full play.

無(wú)論做什么事,興趣最重要,如果沒(méi)有興趣,就會(huì)事倍功半。學(xué)英語(yǔ)也一樣,有興趣才會(huì)學(xué)得好。媽媽帶我到了卓越英語(yǔ),先讓我試讀一下,看看有沒(méi)有興趣。上課了,一位年輕的老師走進(jìn)教室,先讓我們聽(tīng)一首叫《丑小鴨》的英語(yǔ)歌,一邊播放音樂(lè),一邊表演,挺有意思的。老師教的內(nèi)容其實(shí)就是歌里唱的內(nèi)容。我目不轉(zhuǎn)睛地盯著老師的一舉一動(dòng),兩節(jié)課學(xué)得很專(zhuān)心,也很有興趣。于是,媽媽幫我報(bào)了名,我便成了卓越英語(yǔ)的一員。
我被編入B31班,學(xué)習(xí)《英語(yǔ)語(yǔ)音過(guò)關(guān)》。教我們這一班的是曾老師,國(guó)字臉,鼻梁上架著一副近視眼鏡。他總讓我們?cè)诳鞓?lè)中學(xué)習(xí)知識(shí),我們都很喜歡他。同時(shí),我還認(rèn)識(shí)了兩類(lèi)同學(xué),一類(lèi)是吵吵鬧鬧、愛(ài)開(kāi)小差的搗蛋鬼,另一類(lèi)是安安靜靜、用心學(xué)習(xí)的好學(xué)生。在卓越英語(yǔ),每個(gè)同學(xué)都有自己的英文名字,我的英文名字叫Tony(托尼),可大家都叫我“掏泥”。
在卓越英語(yǔ),我學(xué)得很努力,老師一教我就懂,字寫(xiě)得也不錯(cuò),老師經(jīng)?湮摇5矣浶圆淮蠛,有時(shí)候舉起手來(lái)想發(fā)言,卻不知道說(shuō)什么。我想,這是基礎(chǔ)不扎實(shí)的緣故,還得多下功夫。
于是,我不僅在學(xué)校里學(xué),還在家里學(xué)。老師發(fā)給我們每人兩張《英語(yǔ)語(yǔ)音過(guò)關(guān)》碟片,讓我們?cè)诩依锫?tīng)。下午和晚上家里的臺(tái)式電腦被姐姐“統(tǒng)治”著,所以,我每天早上很早起來(lái)聽(tīng)碟片讀英語(yǔ)。每天放學(xué)回家,都要進(jìn)行鞏固,攻守并進(jìn)。我的.家庭作業(yè)幾乎都是對(duì)的。

it was a fine day today and the sun was bright. i visited beijing zoo with my classmate, he song. the animals were so interesting that all the people loved them. when a bear asked for some food by waving its ann, a visitor threw something to it. at once i went up to him and said without thinking, dont do that. its bad for it. if you really love them, take good care of them. his face turned red and answered he wouldnt do that again.

we watched the bears for a long time. they were really lovely. one of them was standing and opening the mouth. another of them was sitting on the ground and waving its arm like saying hello to us. the other two guys were boxing. we had a good laugh at it. but at that time i saw a visitor throwing food to them. i ran up to him and stopped him, because some of the animals had been hurt by the food given by visitors.
all the animals are our friends. take good care of them if we really love them.
