目前筆者所在地區(qū)采用的是新編北師大版高中英語教材。這套教材一大優(yōu)點在于其語言材料的組織都是圍繞某個主題展開的。每單元有一個主題，下面每一課都有自己的話題，對于這些話題學(xué)生都較感興趣，有話可說。這樣的教材編排特點適合開展主題寫作活動。每個單元的前三課或四課是單元話題下的基本詞匯、短語、句型和語法項目的學(xué)習(xí)，Communication Workshop是對單元知識的擴展和綜合運用，通常有基于單元話題的寫作指導(dǎo)及任務(wù)。學(xué)生獲得的單元基礎(chǔ)語言知識以及他們運用語言知識的準確和熟練程度，完全可以通過話題寫作活動來檢驗和強化，而且主題寫作活動可以體現(xiàn)語言學(xué)習(xí)的價值和意義。

下面結(jié)合新編北師大版高中英語教材第7模塊，第21單元的主題寫作教學(xué)案例進行探析。
本單元的話題是人類生物學(xué)，通過單元學(xué)習(xí)，學(xué)生應(yīng)能夠流利地運用單元目標(biāo)詞匯和基本句型來討論有關(guān)人類科學(xué)的相關(guān)話題。食物、健康和醫(yī)學(xué)是人類生存和發(fā)展中永恒的話題。學(xué)生對人類科學(xué)有較為濃厚的興趣，所以此單元話題下的寫作圍繞人類發(fā)展展開，貼近學(xué)生的生活，易于激發(fā)學(xué)生的寫作興趣。學(xué)生對單元主題詞匯和基礎(chǔ)語句已經(jīng)有了一定的掌握和積累，能夠用單元基礎(chǔ)語言材料組織語句，表達自己的想法。教師在指導(dǎo)學(xué)生進行主題寫作時，完全可以依托單元話題語料。
克隆人是在人類生物學(xué)發(fā)展到今天無法回避的話題，但具有極大爭議性，這種本身有爭議的話題正適合本單元Communication Workshop的寫作要求Learn to write a discursive essay，此文體要求學(xué)生第一段介紹話題，第二三段分述反面觀點及正面觀點，最后一段給出個人觀點。但由于克隆人在現(xiàn)實世界中還沒有出現(xiàn)，同時又遠離學(xué)生生活，因此為了給學(xué)生帶來更直觀的感受，教師最好課前布置所有同學(xué)回家觀看電影《逃離克隆島》，這部電影探討了科隆人及其引發(fā)的道德問題。
課堂上教師首先利用大量的與主題相關(guān)的圖片、電影片段等創(chuàng)設(shè)談?wù)摽寺∪说姆諊�，讓學(xué)生用英語表明自己對克隆人這一科學(xué)話題的態(tài)度。這一活動激活了學(xué)生寫作所需的話題詞匯，可以作為寫前的熱身。從交際功能的角度講，這樣的聽、說形式的語言活動，不但不會沖擊主題寫作活動，反而與主題寫作教學(xué)是相互統(tǒng)一、相互促進的。
在完成上述活動后，教師引導(dǎo)學(xué)生通過小組合作寫一段話介紹克隆人話題并過渡到Should Human Cloning be allowed?這一主題上。這一活動調(diào)動了學(xué)生的寫作積極性和主動參與意識，在輕松活躍的氛圍中強化了其對概括技巧的理解和運用，學(xué)生的語言儲備和發(fā)散思維得到充分激活，他們更加愉悅和主動地參與主題討論，為下一步的寫作活動做好前期準備。
在完成上述活動的基礎(chǔ)上，通過課本P99的Writing Help引導(dǎo)學(xué)生通過小組協(xié)作完成a discursive essay的后三段提綱，要求第二三段分別寫出中心句及至少兩個論據(jù)�；谛〗M活動的寫作練習(xí)實際上幫助學(xué)生搜集有說服力的論據(jù)并克服對寫作的畏難情緒，讓他們有信心完成寫作。這種形式的寫作訓(xùn)練強化了學(xué)生的語言運用技能，幫助學(xué)生初步完成單元寫作要求，培養(yǎng)學(xué)生的寫作思維和寫作能力。
教師可以要求學(xué)生在寫完提綱后，同伴間相互交換檢查，檢查內(nèi)容包括拼寫、用詞是否準確，句式是否準確，語法是否準確，語言表達是否流暢、豐富等。互評可以鼓勵學(xué)生間健康向上的競爭，激發(fā)競爭意識，促使每個學(xué)生盡力提供最好的作品，并且糾錯之一的過程有時語言知識的再現(xiàn)和再復(fù)習(xí)過程，能夠使學(xué)生在交流中得到更多的幫助，收獲不同的語言思維和語言表達方式，補充和豐富自己的語言學(xué)習(xí)。
在提綱寫作的基礎(chǔ)上，引導(dǎo)學(xué)生利用Writing Help中的格式要求(正式與中立的風(fēng)格)，以及Communication Workshop中的連接詞（although, even though, however, therefore, while）獨立完成寫作任務(wù)。此寫作活動充分強化了有關(guān)連接詞的理解即運用，提高了學(xué)生的寫作能力。
學(xué)生最終完成習(xí)作后，將學(xué)生的作文張貼在教師里，讓學(xué)生互相批閱。學(xué)生互相批閱能激發(fā)他們主動尋找差距的意識，也是對單元目標(biāo)語言再理解、再鞏固的過程。學(xué)生從另外的角度反思自己習(xí)作中的語言運用，強化語用意識和語言運用能力。教師在學(xué)生批閱完后，可再作進一步檢查。這屬于指導(dǎo)性主題寫作。通過教師不同程度的引導(dǎo)和幫助，學(xué)生將自己要表達的思想通過一定的邏輯組織后用文字表達出來。
這種主題寫作練習(xí)可以是獨立完成，也可以是小組合作，方式可以靈活多樣。指導(dǎo)性主題寫作是介于模仿性寫作和自由寫作之間的過渡性寫作，學(xué)生在進行大量的模仿性寫作練習(xí)和指導(dǎo)性寫作練習(xí)后，才能掌握一定的寫作技巧，從而進行自由寫作。指導(dǎo)性主題寫作可以幫助學(xué)生從原始的模仿性單元語料學(xué)習(xí)過渡到具有創(chuàng)造性的基礎(chǔ)語言運用，提升綜合語言運用能力。

隨著課程標(biāo)準對學(xué)生寫作技巧要求的提高，寫作教學(xué)的地位越來越重要，每一位教師都在摸索寫作教學(xué)的可行方法。有些教師認為，寫作就是讓學(xué)生堅持不懈地寫；有些教師認為，寫作就是要套用各種范例；還有些教師認為，學(xué)生必須多背才能寫好作文。這些方法都有一定的可行性和效果。提高學(xué)生的寫作能力必須建立在一定的基礎(chǔ)上，如學(xué)生的寫作興趣、寫作愿望、成就感等。要想滿足學(xué)生的這些心理需求，教師就必須從挖掘課程資源入手，設(shè)計主題寫作活動，讓學(xué)生在輕松活躍的寫作氛圍中主動運用單元目標(biāo)語言，同時教師要善于發(fā)現(xiàn)學(xué)生習(xí)作中的閃光點和不足之處，讓學(xué)生在展現(xiàn)自我的過程中提高英語寫作能力。

Love in Campus
Nowadays, campus love is popular. Some college teachers argue that students should give up love for the sake of learning. They maintain that love is time consuming and influences one’s learning. Some students, however, hold that a student who falls in love will study harder and will make greater progress. They don't believe that a person in love lags behind in his studies.
There are different kinds of love on campus. Some students regard love as killing time or adding color; some are pragmatic, thinking it's difficult to find a better partner after graduation; the purpose of others is for seeking the impetus of study. Anyhow, far away from home and alone, seeking friendship, understanding and love, the boys and girls easily find comfort and appreciation from one another.
As a mater of fact, love is a sharp double-bladed knife. Having it will make you very happy; while losing it, you always feel disappointed and depressed. When the bond of love broken, going on studying as usual or sinking lament or even being crazy depend on us. We will not let romantic entanglement interfere with our studies.
Love is a natural and quiet. During the process of love we will experience romantic love, frustrating love and critical love and real love. True love will overcome our pain and dismay, warm our heart, and spark our spirit with delight forces but not resistance.
