This makes us wonder if man is able to share this planet in harmony with other life forms.
In my opinion, it is imperative to take steps to reverse the disturbing trend illustrated in the charts. One measure would be to forbid the building of cities in areas where wild life is threatened with extinction. But, more imporantly, man must learn to stop polluting the environment, or he himself will become extinct.

清晨，大家在石校長和王老師的帶領下來到了酒店的一間房間，石校長給我們7位參賽同學介紹了三位年長的英語指導專家。我們在老師和家長面前逐個進行預演。專家老師對我們演講中的每一個單詞發(fā)音、每一個動作表情和每一句語音語調都給予仔細而詳盡的矯正指導，并且反復演練。由于房間較小，給我指導的那位專家爺爺甚至還和我并排坐在地上幫我矯 正發(fā)音，并繪聲繪色地教我用各種不同聲音來扮演不同角色。我們通過一上午的緊張訓練都有了很大提高。
下午，石校長為了讓我們盡早熟悉比賽場地，匆匆吃了點午飯就驅車帶領我們來到比賽現(xiàn)場。比賽正式開始了，來自國內各地和港、澳參賽選手都發(fā)揮了很高的水平，真讓我大開眼界��！比賽選手有的聲音響亮；有的動作幽默；有的發(fā)音標準；有的語音語調模仿得惟妙惟肖……我終于體會到那句：人外有人，天外有天的意思了。終于該我上場了，我深吸了一口氣，盡量讓自己砰砰亂跳的心平靜下來。我微笑著看了看場下的評委和觀眾開始自己的演講：Once upon a time, there lived a little old man and a little old woman……直到故事結束，當我聽到觀眾熱烈的掌聲時，我才蹦跳著下了臺。等到所有同學表演完畢后，評委老師現(xiàn)場打分，頒獎開始了。我的心頓時提了起來。奪得優(yōu)秀獎的同學是……獲得銅獎的同學是…….直到評委老師念到銀獎的名單還沒有我時，我真的很失望。突然，我聽到：“獲得金獎的小朋友是來自上海福山正達外國語小學的溫哥華同學”時，我激動得跳了起來。我趕緊回頭尋找坐在觀眾席中的爸爸媽媽和老師們。我看到他們?yōu)槲邑Q起了大拇指。我想對你們說：謝謝福山！謝謝老師！謝謝爸爸媽媽！也謝謝和我一起參賽的小朋友們！是你們給了我舞臺，是你們給了我?guī)椭�，是你們給了我勇氣。最后，我還想對親愛的許老師說：I love you！
