英語作文 篇1
Every sportsman should have sportsmanship. When defeated, he should greet his opponent and congratulate him. If he can't, on one will care to be his opponent because he lacks basic decorum and the spirit of a good sportsman. A true sportsman has a generous heart, admits to his loss and does not act with vexation. Learning to have sportsmanship is very important. It doesn't always matter whether one wins or not.
What's even more important than results is what you have learned from each competition.

Even though this dream is very small, but I still make my effort. I can study drawing hardly from now on. An then I think my dream will come true.
When I grow up, I want to be an artist. What about you? What’s your dream?

My grandma is over seventy now. These days she doesn't feel well, and her legs hurt. This afternoon my father and I took her to the hospital. The doctor looked her over carefully. He said that she was in good health, but people get all kinds of illness as they got older. He also said that she would get well in the coming spring.
I know my grandma has done much for our family. Now she is getting old, and it's time for me to look after her. I'll try my best to make her live happy.
英語作文 篇4
as is vividly depicted in the picture , with a clear cracking sound , two bowls clashed into each other , in which the shinning one keeps its integrity , whereas the shabby one breaks into pieces. just like being symbolically revealed in the set of drawing, the fact that the intact bowl, as a symbol of soly-invested companies , overwhelms the broken bowl representing the state-owned companies, with collision standing for fierce companies, profoundly indicates that it is time that our state-owned companies entailed reform especially after china’s entry into wto when facing soly-invested companies abroad.
to the popular mind , it is immediately assumed that when reform in state-owned companies is argued,it is car industry that is meant. to account for the above-mentioned phenomenon , several points should be figured out. for one thing, some of car industries once enjoyed the glorious past , they have ,however, gradually lost their market shares when soly ?invested companies were sweeping into domestic market. for another , in order to turn the corner ,the leaders of them should adopt the policy of reform such as acquisition, re-engineering and introduction of advanced technology and concepts of management. no better illustration of this idea can be thought than the example mentioned below, no 1 motor vehicle plant has witnessed from predicament to rejuvenation through none other than effective steps mentioned above. therefore ,no issue is as critical to individual and national survival and prosperity as reform in state-owned companies.
accordingly, it is vital for us to derive some positive meanings from this thought-provoking picture. it is ,hence, necessary that efforts be made to follow the spirit of reform concerning state-owned companies. on one hand, the government should make law to perfect irrational rules and regulations being visible in reform process. on the other hand, the leaders of state-owned companies should enhance the awareness of reform .only by undergoing these steps ,can our more state-owned companies become members of top 500 in the world, which, indeed, has gone to the heart of maintaining good momentum of national economy growth.

英語作文 篇7
The government should control the amount of violence in films and on television in order to decrease the violent crimes in society. To what extent do you agree or disagree with this issue?
Violence appears more and more often in films and on television. Requests are made that the government should take action because it leads to the rise of violent crimes in society. However, some people think differently.
They say that instead of inducing people to commit a crime, violence on
TV helps people to release the stress put on them by the fast pace of the modern society and thus reduces the chance for them to break the law. The employee who was severely criticized by the boss at work may feel relieved when he returns home and sees a strong man being punched in his face on TV.
Admittedly, that may be one little good effect of violence on screen, but the side effect of it is much serious and should not be ignored. As was mentioned in the beginning of the essay, violence on screen does result in more crimes in real life. For one thing, teenagers are good at intimating and they have a strong desire to release their extra energy. One good example of this is the notorious campus gun shot case in the US. The criminal, a university student, who shot several of his teachers and fellow students, confessed that a violent movie inspired him. Lastly, violence in films and television fills people’s mind with evil and hatred. We certainly should be shown the better side of our society if we want to decrease the violent crimes.
英語作文 篇8
Nearly all energy comes from the sun, either in a roundabout① way or straight from it, in the form of heat rays and light rays. The light from the moon, too, comes from the sun. The moon can be said to be like a large mirror which throws back the sun's light to the earth.
Electrical energy comes from the sun in a roundabout way, e.g.②, it can come from the power of water falling down a mountainside③. The water fell there as rain, and we know that rain is made by the sun's heat evaporating the water on the earth's surface. This water vapour rises, condenses④ on cooling, and falls as rain.
The light and heat energy from coal also comes from the sun in a roundabout way. Coal was made by the rocks pressing on trees and plants which died millions of years ago. Those trees and plants grew with the aid of sunlight, from which they made carbohydrates⑤, in this way changing the sun's energy into chemical energy. When we burn coal, some of this energy is set free.
Energy which we use to drive car engines comes from petrol⑥,which also was made with the aid of the sun in a roundabout way. Plants, and animals which ate the plants, died millions of years ago, and the parts of them that were left were pressed under the rocks in the 301earth. These parts left from dead animals and plants made petroleum⑦,from which petrol and oil are now obtained.
Thus we can say that the is the place where nearly all energy comes from, and that without the sun's heat and light, there could be no life on earth.
