content: 本模塊主題為美洲的土著人，引入了與此有關(guān)的詞匯。要求學(xué)生了解上述內(nèi)容并掌握有關(guān)詞匯，培養(yǎng)學(xué)生的語(yǔ)言技能。

4. topic: 能夠復(fù)述課文并表達(dá)自己的情感；能夠使用本模塊的詞匯討論種族問(wèn)題并表達(dá)自己的態(tài)度。
aim of skill:

1).understanding the introduction of reading and speaking.
2). recognizing the new words, the new phrases in the text.
3) getting the message and understand the meaning of the sentence, the paragraph and the listening text.

能夠運(yùn)用本模塊所學(xué)的詞匯和短語(yǔ)寫出課文內(nèi)容的梗概；能寫出有關(guān)某個(gè)美洲部落的簡(jiǎn)短發(fā)言稿；能在閱讀與本模塊主題相關(guān)的簡(jiǎn)易原著并領(lǐng)會(huì)其內(nèi)容。

2. reading and vocabulary (1)
aim: 1. to know something about the new words of subjects.該部分包含兩個(gè)活動(dòng)，引入了對(duì)美洲發(fā)展有影響的人物哥倫布。教師可以通過(guò)組織學(xué)生對(duì)哥倫布有關(guān)情況的討論，引起學(xué)生對(duì)美洲歷史和文化的興趣，展開有關(guān)的語(yǔ)言時(shí)間活動(dòng)。
2. the techniques of reading like the scanning ,the skimming ,the key words.該部分閱讀材料介紹了美洲的歷史和她們當(dāng)今的生活狀況。圍繞著課文，編者設(shè)計(jì)了五個(gè)與課文內(nèi)容和詞匯有關(guān)的練習(xí)。通過(guò)練習(xí)，學(xué)生可以了解這些詞匯。
procedure: (一) introduction

2. what do you know about christopher columbus?
3. do you think columbus discovered america? why or why not?
4. do you think columbus is a very important person in american history? why or why not?
by asking these questions to help the students to review the information.
step 1 : look at the map in the text. what map is it? which major countries is america made up of? who first came to live this continent?
