二、教學目標：
1、讓學生通過收集資料和本課活動，了解萬圣節(jié)的有關情況。
2、通過介紹風俗，學習單詞pumpkin lantern，candle，mask，pig，if，能聽懂、會讀、會說這些單詞。
三、教學重點：
讓學生通過這節(jié)課的活動了解有關萬圣節(jié)的傳說、風俗，為下節(jié)課的教授對話作鋪墊。
四、教學難點：
能聽、說、讀單詞pumpkin lantern，candle，mask，pig，if。
五、課前準備：
1、教學準備：讓學生課前收集萬圣節(jié)的資料，每人做一個面具。
2、教具準備：錄音機、磁帶、準備幾個面具（xx、老虎、狗）
3、板書準備：在黑板上預先寫好課題Halloween
六、教學過程：
Step 1 Free talk
1. T:Let’s sing a song. We can sing and dance ”together.
Ss:Sing the song
2. T:(Greeting)Class begins. Good morning, boys and girls.
3. T:Do you know what day is April 1st?(Fool’s Day)
What day is June 1st?(Children’s Day)
What about October 31st?(Halloween)
(Teach “Halloween”)
Step 2 Presentation
1.T:Halloween falls on the night of Oct. 31st and it gives us a perfect opportunity to have great fun!
Do you know the origin of Halloween?
Ss:(自由發(fā)言)
關于萬圣節(jié)的由來，傳說最多的版本認為，那是源自于基督誕生前的古西歐國家，主要包括愛爾蘭、蘇格蘭和威爾士。這幾處的古西歐人叫德魯依特人。德魯依特的新年在十一月一日，新年前夜，德魯依特人讓年輕人集合，戴著各種怪異面具，拎著刻好的蘿卜燈（南瓜燈系后期習俗，古西歐最早沒有南瓜），他們游走于村落間。這在當時實則為一種秋收的'慶典，也有說是“鬼節(jié)”，傳說是當年死去的人，靈魂會在萬圣節(jié)的前夜造訪人世，據(jù)說人們應該讓造訪的靈魂看到圓滿的收成并對鬼魂呈現(xiàn)出豐盛的款待。所以篝火及燈火，一來為了嚇走靈魂，同時也為鬼魂照亮路線，引導其回歸。

(Teach “pumpkin”)
What’s in the pumpkin? There’s a candle.
(Teach “candle”)
We can use them to make a pumpkin lantern.

T:(Introduce)
至于南瓜燈也至少有兩種說法。一種說是人挖空了南瓜又刻上鬼臉，點上燭火以驅散鬼魂的；另一種說是鬼魂點上燭火，試圖騙取人們上當而跟著鬼魂走，所以人們就在南瓜表面上刻上一個嘲諷的臉面，用以嘲笑鬼魂：哼！傻瓜才會上你的當!傳說因為首先用南瓜的是一位愛爾蘭人Jack，所以人們又將鬼臉南瓜燈叫做Jack-O-Lantern.
Ss:(Repeat “Jack-O-Lantern” several times)
T:(Ask one student)Can you tell me what’s this in English?
S:It’s a mask.
T:Look, here are some masks.(teach “mask”)

3.T:If tomorrow we’ll have a Halloween party. What do you need? Please discuss in groups.

Step 3 Say a rhyme
T: Please listen to a rhyme.
Ss:(listen)
T:(Teach “if”)
This time, follow the tape please.
Ss:(Read after the tape)
(Read by themselves)

T:(Divide the Ss into two groups and then read.)

Step 4 Play a game.
T:See, I put the apple in the water, you only can use your mouth to get the apple. If you can, it’s yours. I give you only one minute.
Step 5 Introduce other informations about Halloween.
(1) If you were born on Halloween you’ll enjoy lifelong protection against evil spirits.
(2) Your future husband will appear in the mirror on Halloween. The children in America also have the colouring picture. You can have a look.(分發(fā)圖片)
Step 6 Homework
After class, please design a tabloid about the Halloween。（請大家課后四人一組制作一份關于萬圣節(jié)的專題小報）英語寫，中文注釋。
