Their academic caps and gowns signify that they have successfully completed their courses and are preparing to enter into society. The hand in the foreground holds two small screws, implying that such students are the screws that hold society together and ensure it functions properly.

　　Such an analogy encourages us to consider our purpose and place in life. While many people harbor grand desires to improve and change their respective communities and countries, not a single unit could stay together without the screws that hold things in place. Success, therefore, depends on the smaller tools, or pieces, that keep structures from tumbling. Just as screws are the small yet essential objects that strengthen and sustain, we should strive to steadily support the society we live and work within. Without our earnest efforts, communities could not be so securely maintained.

　　a folk culture is a small isolated, cohesive, conservative, nearly self-sufficient group that is homogeneous in custom and race with a strong family or clan structure and highly developed rituals. order is maintained through sanctions based in the religion or family and interpersonal. relationships are strong. tradition is paramount, and change comes infrequently and slowly. there is relatively little division of labor into specialized duties. rather, each person is epected to perform a great variety of tasks, though duties may differ between the sees. most goods are handmade and subsistence economy prevails. individualism is weakly developed in folk cultures as are social classes. unaltered folk cultures no longer eist in industrialized countries such as the united states and canada. perhaps the nearest modern equivalent in anglo america is the amish, a german american farming sect that largely renounces the products and labor saving devices of the industrial age. in amish areas, horse drawn buggies still serve as a local transportation device and the faithful are not permitted to own automobiles. the amish＇s central religious concept of demut "humility", clearly reflects the weakness of individualism and social class so typical of folk cultures and there is a corresponding strength of amish group identity. rarely do the amish marry outside their sect. the religion, a variety of the mennonite faith, provides the principal mechanism for maintaining order.

　　我一到這所學校，同我一起玩，也讓我減少了思念的滋味。

　　我第一天上課，然而又是英語課，這讓我又緊張，又害怕，突然我的同桌撫摸了我，叫我放松，不要害怕，可是我心里何嘗沒有一些害怕感呢！

　　英語老師的到來，使我的心怦怦直跳起來，可是我想到了她對我的安慰，我的'心就放松了。在老師的上課過程中，我根本就聽不懂老師在說些什么，如果不是她提醒我，我根本就不知道老師講到了第幾頁。

　　中午，我的同桌提了一個問題她叫我可以向你姑姑每天幫你復習，我認為這個辦法可以，我就去找我姑姑，我姑姑也答應了。

　　每天中午，我從最基本的大寫字母學起，每天晚上，我都要默單詞，就這樣日子一天天過去，然而我的成績也有所提高。

　　In China, when people go across the road, they will never wait for the red light patiently. In fact, Chinese people are famous for running the green light, it seems to be a habit for them, the traffic rule is just the paper for them, they never obey it. The result of going against the traffic rule is serious.

　　On the one hand, running the red light is not a civilized behavior, Chinese people will bring the foreign people the bad impression. When a foreigner comes to China, he is so curious about the way Chinese people go across the road, he waits for the green light, while a lot of Chinese people ignore the traffic rule and go directly. He feels so hilarious about the situation, it is so uncivilized behavior.

　　一方面，闖紅燈不是一個文明的舉動，中國人會給外國人帶來不好的印象。當一個外國人來到中國，他會對中國人過馬路的方式感到奇怪，他等待綠燈，然而眾多的'中國人忽視交通規(guī)則，直接走過去。他會覺得這樣的場景很搞笑，這是多么不文明的舉動啊。

　　On the other hand, running the red light results in accident, people will lose their lives. Every year, many people die of car accident, the main reason is that they do not obey the traffic rule, when they go across the road, the car hits them and the tragedy happens.

　　另一方面，闖紅燈會導致車禍，人們會失去生命。每年，很多人死于車禍，主要的原因在于他們不遵守交通規(guī)則，當他們過馬路的時候，車子撞到他們，悲劇就發(fā)生了。

　　Running the red light is not right, people will even pay for their lives, we should obey the traffic rules, be a civilized person.
