        英語作文 篇1

Sincc I entered Senior High SchooI I have felt a great burden off my mind and I just want to relax. So do myclassmates. We enjoy playing cards and are very skillful at it. We seldom work on our lessons unless there is an examination. Then we work under pressure. I know it is not good, but what I lack is self control. Mat of us know it is a problem, and it is time we did something about it.

As youth, we are in the prime of our life. We should make good use of our golden time. The teachers take pains to teach us every day so that we can acquire more knowledge. We should not fail their expectations. I should not rest content with what I have done. Entering cnllege is just a step in the threshold of the palace of knowledge. The road is long. The modern age needs the well educated. The future world is highly competitive. If we idle away our time while young wo shall regret it in vain when we are did.

From now on I will concentrate all my energy on my studies as to qualify myself as a talent in the 21st century. Time and tide wait for no man. I should value my time. What about you, my friend?

        英語作文 篇2

College life is always accompanied by various examinations. College students have examinations both in the middle and at the end of each semester. Sometimes most of these examinations are rather difficult. So it is advisable that you learn some good ways to do well in examinations.

The best way is to study the subject thoroughly during the whole term; listen attentively to the teacher's lectures, and take careful notes. Go over your textbooks and notes and make sure you understand them all. Ask your classmates or teachers for help instantly if you come across problems when you clo your assignments after class. Do not delay until you forget them because these problems may prompt out when you take the exams, which will affect your scores eventually. Go over the most important parts in your textbooks and in your notes. Do not try to remember too many things at a time.

Make up a timetable for your review. Start your review at least two weeks before the examination takes place. A few days before the examination, you should start to go to bed early to get enough rest. With a refreshed mind, you will find next morning you are very efficient in your reviewing. The day before the examination, it is wise to give your brain a good rest. Surely, you will pass and probably get a good score if you can follow what I suggested above.

        英語作文 篇4

A leader is the head of a school, or enterprise. He is the guide and supervisor as well as a boss or manager. In a sense a leader is the pacesetter in doing things. He is a pioneer and he blazes the trail for others to follow. Therefore he is braver, faster and stronger than others.

A leader comes from the masses. He has the mixure of charaeters from the masses. The leader shows the way to those led by him. He also needs support from the masses. He can earn this support only by his integrity and strength. He must show his ability to lead, that is his leadership or managerial skills. Otherwise he will be looked down upon by his counterparts.

        英語作文 篇5

My favourite sport is playing basketball. I am not good at it.

I often play basketball with my friends. At school, I can’t play. So I often play after school. I am a member of Sports Club. So I always play there. Playing basketball is fun, and it’s good for my body. It makes me happy.

I never watch basketball matches on TV, because I don’t want to spend time on this. So I don’t get any heroes.

This is my favourite sport. Happiness comes from sports, health comes from sports.

        英語作文 篇6

Sleet is part of a person's daily activity cycle. There are several different stages of sleep, and they too occur in cycles. If you are an average sleeper, your sleep cycle is as follows. When you fist drift off into slumber, your eyes will roll about a bit, you temperature will drop slightly, your muscles will relax, and your breathing well slow and become quite regular. Your brain waves slow and become quite regular. Your brain waves slow down a bit too, with the alpha rhythm of rather fast waves 1 sleep. For the next half hour or so, as you relax more and more, you will drift down through stage 2 and stage 3 sleep. The lower your stage of sleep. slower your brain waves will be. Then about 40to 69 minutes after you lose consciousness you will have reached the deepest sleep of all. Your brain will show the large slow waves that are known as the delta rhythm. This is stage 4 sleep.

You do not remain at this deep fourth stage all night long, but instead about 80 minutes after you fall into slumber, your brain activity level will increase again slightly. The delta rhythm will disappear, to be replaced by the activity pattern of brain waves. Your eyes will begin to dart around under your closed eyelids as if you were looking at something occurring in front of you. This period of rapid eye movement lasts for some 8 to 15 minutes and is called REM sleep. It is during REM sleep period, your body will soon relax again, your breathing will slip gently back from stage 1 to stage 4 sleep----only to rise once again to the surface of near consciousness some 80 minutes later.

        英語作文 篇8

Last summer I went to one of the world’s most famous historical places, The Forbidden City in Beijing, China. It was the home of the emperors of the last two dynasties in China, the Ming and Qing Dynasties.

The Forbidden City was built in 1420. It stands in the center of the capital of China, Beijing. It is surrounded by high walls with dragons on each wall. The palace contains over ten thousand rooms. It was where the emperors held their court sessions with their servants.

In Mandarin1, The Forbidden City is called the Purple Forbidden City. The color of the palace itself is not purple however. The color purple is the symbolic2 color for the omnipotence3of the great emperors of China. It was a place so sacred that the commoners could not even dream of ever going in. Even some of the officials could not go in there if uninvited.

Some of the largest festivals were also held at The Forbidden City. During Chinese New Year, the emperor would invite all the members of his family and his officials to a banquet. The banquet was consisted of a hundred and eight dishes of Chinese delicacies4. It was a banquet so expensive that it could feed a commoner’s family for three generations.

Right now The Forbidden City serves as a historical site for tourists from all over the world. Everyone can go in there. It is a museum containing invaluable5 Chinese antiques and treasures.

I really learned a lot about the Chinese culture and its history from this trip to The Forbidden City. Before the trip, I always dreamed about someday of going there to see all the beautiful buildings, the treasures, and the antiques in The Forbidden City. It was like a dream come true to go on the trip and see the things that I have always wanted to see.
