Chinese cultureEvery year, the world is paying close attention to the Nobel Prize for literature. The winners will receive both fame and wealth, their writing career reach the peak of Chinese culture. China has a history of thousands of years and many great works are famous in the world. Therefore, why Chinese writers have to go so long to win the Nobel Prize is that English, as an international language, is accepted by the world, Chinese great works need to be translated into English so that they can be read by the judges. But the bad thing is that in the process of translation, the artistic conception is lost to some extent, leaving only the main significance. Therefore, we do not need to question our literature. It is excellent and the world will see it one day.

(Tea and the Tea Culture of China) Since I started my major in the tea culture of China, I have been deeply impressed by its sophistication and beauty. I would like to share some fascinating aspects of the tea culture of China. In a country with the history of five thousand years, the Chinese tea drinking habit dated back to the Tang Dynasty (618-907AD). It became a national tradition and led to development of a delicate tea drinking ritual. Over the centuries, poets and artists in China wrote many marvelous masterpieces, in appreciation of tea and Chinese people's constant love of tea drinking .One of the best-known writers is Lu Yu, who was regarded as the “Tea Sage ” for he composed the first book on tea. In his classic book, he detailed his studies of tea, such as the origin of tea, tea tools, tea picking, tea cooking, tea ceremony and well-known areas where tea was grown. And the valuable knowledge he recorded has laid foundation for modern tea culture development. Based on ways in which tea leaves are processed, there are five distinct types of tea. They are as follow: the green tea, the black tea, the Wulong tea, the compressed tea and the scented tea. Among them, may foreigners are familiar with the green tea. The Longjing tea, of the green type, has a reputation。

There are many world cultural heritages in China, including the Great Wall, the Forbidden City of the Ming and Qing Dynasties, the Mogao Grottoes in Dunhuang... Among them, I am most familiar with the Terra Cotta Warriors.
The Terra Cotta Warriors of the Qin Dynasty, one of the eight wonders of the world, is located 1.5 kilometers to the east of the Mausoleum of the First Qin Emperor. There are many pottery figurines with different postures, sizes and styles. It is said that building these things in the east of Qin Shihuang"s Mausoleum can protect Qin Shihuang in the underworld and enable him to live the same life in the underworld.
After people dug out the Terra Cotta Warriors, there were four pits. Because there were pits in No. 4 pit but no terracotta warriors, there were few visitors. Of the three pits, Pit 1 is the largest, with about 6000 terracotta figures, and Pit 3 is the smallest, with 918 terracotta figures. Among all the pits, the number two pit has all kinds of weapons. It is speculated that this pit is the main force of the army. The terracotta figures in this pit are arranged in order, not as disorderly as the number one pit.
Pit 3 is the headquarters of the underground army. Pit 1 is the "Left Army" and Pit 2 is the "Right Army". Such a military layout is the epitome of the formation of Qin .
Looking from a distance, among the broad earthen walls, the terracotta warriors are arranged in order: some of them look serious, stand and think, and have great general demeanor; Some are eager to try, full of blood, as if to fight the enemy to the death on the battlefield; Some smiled as if they remembered their triumph and reunion with their families
Of all the terracotta figures, the kneeling soldier figures impressed me most. I saw him kneeling on his right knee, with his back straight and his hands on the right, as if he were drawing a bow and shooting arrows. He was full of confidence, as if he felt that every arrow he put could reach the enemy.
Those horse figurines also have their own characteristics. That horse seems to be the same at first glance, but when you look carefully, it has its own characteristics. There are those who stand up and listen carefully, and there are those who open their mouth and hiss.
All the terracotta figures are almost the same size as the real thing, which makes us feel the reality of Qin Shihuang"s "army".
Looking at the orderly array of troops, I seem to see the mighty Qin Shihuang, driving a carriage and leading his army, walking between heaven and earth.

Our country is an old country with about five thousand years history so it has been attracting so many foreign tourists or students to come here to explore our history. Unlike other countries, China has experienced many dynasties and its culture has spread home and abroad . In terms of character, it has developed so much that we can hardly grasp every one of them though we are Chinese, let alone foreigners. So this has made so many foreigners much interested in it . Chinese Kun-fu is also impressive in the world .。

The information revolution, the development of mass media and the achievements in science and technology have doubtlessly ushered us in a rapidly progressing society, where we may have no time to talk about our traditional culture. In the city, no one can escape from the fast pace. We eat the popularized fast food and enjoy the popularized "fast food" culture. Since we get so used to such fast things that many traditional things have been neglected, some people believe that the traditional culture will gradually be lost, but I think it will never be lost. Although entertainments are in abundance nowadays, traditional cultures still continue to dominate. We still regard going to a concert as a luxury. Many classic books touch a string from generation to generation in spite of time and space. And we are still moved by the inspirational spirits of our great ancestors.Traditional festivals remind us of our disposition to the traditional culture. Our relief in traditional culture gets ready to revive at any time. To some traditional cultures that are on decline, we have taken active measures to conserve them. Experts have come up with proper advice on protecting such cultures. Many volunteers have dedicated themselves to studying them. First and foremost, more and more people have discerned the importance of the traditional culture. Therefore, we are sure that our efforts will lead to a brilliant future. If a culture wants to gain an eternal life, it should change itself to cater to the people in its age. So does our traditional culture. Traditional cultures adhering to modern means appear rigorous. For example, we make CDs for classic music so that it can not only meet modern needs but also spread further and more successfully in the modern world. The appearance of traditional culture changes, but the essence will never change and will be well accepted. There is no need to worry about whether our traditional culture will be lost. It is an important heritage of the whole human race. No culture, no mankind. We cherish the traditional culture as we cherish our blood in our body. The traditional culture lies in life, forever continuing.。

When drinking tea, Chinese people attach great importance to the behavior of "tea tasting" and "tea tasting". It is not only a way to distinguish good tea from plain tea, but also how people can extract a little leisure from their busy work, make a pot of strong tea, and get a quiet space, so as to intoxicate their reverie and drink tea. Serving and drinking tea by themselves can help to eliminate fatigue and frustration Improve thinking ability and stimulate enthusiasm. You can also take a sip and enjoy the subtle charm of tea until your spirit rises to a lofty aesthetic realm - architecture, gardens, decorations and tea sets are the elements of tea tasting atmosphere. The quiet, refreshing, comfortable and clean environment is undoubtedly the ideal place for tea drinking. Chinese gardens are famous in the world, and there are countless beautiful Chinese landscapes.Tea houses are hidden in the garden, nestled in the natural beauty, with beautiful mountains and rivers. It is a good place for people to rest and enjoy themselves. China is a country with ancient civilization and etiquette. When guests come, make tea first, then serve tea. You can ask them what kind of tea they like and serve them tea in the most appropriate cup. In the process of serving tea, the host usually needs to pay attention to how much water is left in the cup and the pot.If it is brewed from a teacup, it should be added with boiling water after half a cup. After drinking, the cup should be kept full, so that the tea can maintain the same floral fragrance and keep warm throughout the whole tea drinking process. Refreshments, desserts and other dishes can be served during tea breaks to supplement the aroma of tea and relieve hunger."Reverie: the joy of tea: get a quiet space, slowly drink a small" temptation "wine, until your spirit sublimation to a lofty aesthetic realm: in the process of tea, before the tea, so that the cup is filled, so the cup has been full.

中國(guó)文化英語(yǔ)作文11
The key to effective cross-cultural communication is knowledge. First, it is essential that people understand the potential problems of cross-cultural communication, and make a conscious effort to overcome these problems. Second, it is important to assume that one's efforts will not always be successful, and adjust one's behavior appropriately. For example, one should always assume that there is a significant possibility that cultural differences are causing communication problems, and be willing to be patient and forgiving, rather than hostile and aggressive, if problems develop. One should respond slowly and carefully in cross-cultural exchanges, not jumping to the conclusion that you know what is being thought and said. William Ury's suggestion for heated conflicts is to stop, listen, and think, or as he puts it "go to the balcony" when the situation gets tense. By this he means withdraw from the situation, step back, and reflect on what is going on before you act. This helps in cross cultural communication as well. When things seem to be going badly, stop or slow down and think. What could be going on here? Is it possible I misinterpreted what they said, or they misinterpreted me? Often misinterpretation is the source of the problem. Active listening can sometimes be used to check this out–by repeating what one thinks he or she heard, one can confirm that one understands the communication accurately. If words are used differently between languages or cultural groups, however, even active listening can overlook misunderstandings. Often intermediaries who are familiar with both cultures can be helpful in cross-cultural communication situations. They can translate both the substance and the manner of what is said. For instance, they can tone down strong statements that would be considered appropriate in one culture but not in another, before they are given to people from a culture that does not talk together in such a strong way. They can also adjust the timing of what is said and done. Some cultures move quickly to the point; others talk about other things long enough to establish rapport or a relationship with the other person. If discussion on the primary topic begins too soon, the group that needs a "warm up" first will feel uncomfortable. A mediator or intermediary who understands this can explain the problem, and make appropriate procedural adjustments. Yet sometimes intermediaries can make communication even more difficult. If a mediator is the same culture or nationality as one of the disputants, but not the other, this gives the appearance of bias, even when none exists. Even when bias is not intended, it is common for mediators to be more supportive or more understanding of the person who is of his or her own culture, simply because they understand them better. Yet when the mediator is of a third cultural group, the potential for cross-cultural misunderstandings increases further. In this case engaging in extra discussions about the process and the manner of carrying out the discussions is appropriate, as is extra time for confirming and re-confirming understandings at every step in the dialogue or negotiating process.

Dear editor,
I know on your school English newspaper that the readers are expected to have a discussion on the topic of protecting Traditional Chinese Culture. The protection of national and folk culture is of great significance to Chinese cultural diversity and also to the harmonious social development. I have a strong desire to share my personal viewpoints on it.
In my opinion, some measures should be taken to protect traditional culture effectively. To begin with, we should make a law to regulate the society’s performance. What’s more, we should draw more people’s attention to it, for the more they know about the importance of culture protection, the stronger support we can get from the public.
In a word, it is high time for us to treasure and develop our own valuable culture.
中國(guó)文化英語(yǔ)作文13
Today, we live in the modern world, most things we do can use the machine.
The technology brings so many convenience to us, it facilitates our life. As we are facing the new products all the time, the traditional things are fading away. Take the paper-cut for example. When I was very small, paper-cut was so popular in my grandma"s generation, most women could cut all kinds of interesting shapes. While today when I went back to my hometown, I found that most of them had stopped cutting papers, because they could buy them at the very low price. What"s more, the young people don"t learn such art, for the parents think it is not necessary for their children to learn the old-fashion thing.
The tradition should not be abandoned, it is the reflection of our culture. Even facing the challenge, we need to inherit the tradition.

I Want to Smile There are many advantages of smiling. It can not only make us happy, but also please others. If we smile at life, life will smile on us in return. So I want to smile at all whenever and wherever possible, First, I would like to smile at my parents because they have given me life and take all the trouble to bring me up. They arrange almost everything for me. With their help, I have made great progress. I would like to say “Thank you” to them with a smile. Then my smile should go to myself, for only in this way can I gain more confidence in smiling my troubles away and live a better life. In a word, let's greet every day with a smile. Tomorrow is another day.

Today, more and more foreigners learn mandarin, which is a good sign that China plays the important role in the world. As foreigners study Chinese culture, they are attracted by the variety. Chinese culture is profound. The Confucius Institute is around the world. Many foreigners learn Chinese culture and language, hoping to find cooperation with Chinese businessmen, because they know that the future chance is here. I learn Chinese culture since I went to school, but I still feel that I have a lot to learn. China has a history of more than 5,000 years, so I am so eager to learn more about its culture. Some day, I can present the culture to the foreign friends.
